Due to the rising number of COVID 19
cases in India, the government implemented a lockdown across the nation. COVID
19 is a virus that spreads from one infected person to another, so this is the
step taken by the government to reduce the risk of this deadly virus and to
break the chain of the coronavirus. Many guidelines and advice are given by the
government, ICMR to the people to practice social distancing and to stay at
home. Due to all the institutions have been shut down all the students are now
left with a lot of free time and are not utilizing the lockdown period
properly. Also, there are numerous ways by which students can utilize the time
productively and gain something out of it.
FEW IDEAS THROUGH WHICH
STUDENTS CAN UTILIZE LOCKDOWN PERIOD PRODUCTIVELY:
PRACTISE YOGA: This is the perfect time to be get started with yoga and to make ourselves and our body flexible. Yoga in the form of exercise that includes slow movements and stretching to enhance your strength, stamina, and flexibility. Practicing yoga also calms the mind.
ENROLL INTO ONLINE COURSES:
we don't need to be present in the educational institution to
learn something. Thanks to the internet actually, we can now also take up
courses from the comfort of your home. Many institutions in India and abroad
provide courses, tutorials, and videos for a wide range of subjects online and
enhance your existing knowledge.
LEARN TO COOK UP A STORM: Cooking isn't rocket science and there is no dearth to the online videos,
recipes, and kitchen hacks that can help you to navigate this unfamiliar
terrain. Cooking need not to be a solo endeavor can involve the kids, partners,
or roommate by splitting tasks or call a bunch of friends.
LET THE CREATIVITY FLOW: Is that guitar that bought a few years back gathering dust in your closet? Dust it off. Make it a habit to sit in front of your notes and practice. If we need to be creative just go to YouTube there are many tutorials learn how to dance. Bring out a dancer or a singer in you.

want to do once after lockdown completes- selling your old car, visiting

be honest. Besides being a great entertainer, this can be a great use of your
time, simply because you will enhance your knowledge of people, society,
history and culture. Also research suggests that reading books keeps you
smarter and more empathetic.
TRY DIGITAL HOUSE KEEPING: Our home may be spick and scan, but your digital life is a mess: photos
all scattered, the music is from god-knows-when, old text files that need to be
cleaned up. Not to mention a systems backup and an updating of your operating
system. Most important, we need to change your passwords and keep them safe.
GIVING YOUR HOUSE A MAKEOVER:
With the lockdown in full progress, this may be a good time to rejig the
décor and give your home a fresh new look. Change the curtains, move your
tables, chairs, and sofas around the house try out new combinations. Besides
burning good calories.
PAINT YOUR DREAMS: Gather all your paintbrushes lying unused since childhood. If the painting wasn't your thing in childhood and you don't have paintbrushes, then you can also use plastic spoons, visiting cards, or your hands. Painting can be a therapeutic activity as it calms your mind when you focus on painting.
BUILD ON YOUR FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS:
If you are one of those
students away from home due to studies, and if you are back home now, then this
is your chance to strengthen your relationships back home. One way to do
bonding through activities.
