IMPACT OF COVID19 ON EDUCATION SYSTEM.

IMPACT OF COVID19 ON EDUCATION SYSTEM.
The COVID-19 is a haunting gift from china to india. It is a pandemic and  foremost a health crisis. As we all know that this deadly novel corona virus is  adversely affecting the worlds economy and in that our country is not the exempted one .
Being hit by this deadly virus  all most all the sectors in india got effected, and the education sector was not an excused one. The impact it is playing on education is devastating.COVID-19 has affected worlds education system leading to near closure of schools, universities and colleges from past four months in order to prevent community spreading of this virus.
As per UNICEF Reports COVID19 lockdown has affected education over 247 million school children in india.
The virus lead to a lot of changes in education system by which it should be goverend,it became very hard for student parents to realise that the academic year has gone completely waste.with this fear government has come up with an idea to virtually connect students with educational institutions.By using distance learning programmes and open educational applications , video lessons and MOOC'S. This initiative would aslo help in transforming indian education system into digital education platform and boosts the government initiative of DIGITAL INDIA.
The initiative of virtually connecting students is good and great .
·       online teaching served as bridge between time and space.
·       It increases student exposure towards technology.
·       It ensures Availability and exposure to more educational online sources.
·       This makes students more punctual and organised.as their is  planned time management for activities .
·        Students can Attend classes irrespective of any place.
·       Digitalized notes that can be accessed at anytime from anywhere
·       Students  will have acces to more demonstrations on a single topic which cannot be offered in college.
·        However with MOOC's in trend, it is an awesome time for anyone who is interested, in learning and exploring their field of vision...
Nonethless coming into actual scenario this system too have some loopholes.
·       As we know that most of the indian households are not able to access the smartphones and this became are very big burdensome for children who are unable to access to smart phones.
·       Households instead having smart phones cannot be able to aquire proper internet connection in remote areas.
·       Bringing up rear having a smartphone and good internent connection it is not safe for children to connect with smart phone for a longer duration of time as these leads to mental disturbances in child.
·       It is good to see people using online mode to go conduct classes .students  are not withstanding direct contact in few cases like missing lab works, live experiments and demonstration etc..still this kind of education cannot be much better as  people cannot expereince the ambience feel in colleges and schools .
·       If education is digitalized the interaction would be decreased between teacher and student ,which results in lack of interest in learning for student.
·       The mindset of children(wants to play with friends),parents(insist to study)and the educational insist to study and complete the syllabus) are completely different and this adversely affect childrens mindset and leads them to undergo pressure and depression which is not good.
·       Making students to learn virtually will not impact students much as it compared to face to face class room sessions.
·       I personally feel  education for kids till teens should not be digitized. .
·        The childhood is not only about learning and gaining knowledge to earn a job, but the fun, the learning and being with children of various backgrounds is more important in shaping their future. .
·        Also, the beauty of childhood, the play and learning being with other kids is something which can never be taught. . the experiences will shape them in many ways. . at the cost of comfort and digitization, having friends and friendships shouldn't be compromised.
·       But from school and teaching, it is difficult to learn or grasp any information. Although teachers tried their best to provide good learning opportunities, digital learning is distracting.
·       It will be virtual and it is not effective.
·        They can't even interact with the world by sitting lone in front of screen surrounded by four walls all day long.
·        Limited access to low income group family students.
·        Difficulty in managing below average students.
·        Teaching and understanding basics by primary level students will be tough.
·        Difficult to manage behaviour changes and depression in students.
·       Limited physical activities with heavy mental stress.
·        No practical experience.
         ·        Visual  and hearing impairments as their is lots of stress using gadgets for longtime.
·        It will not be practical and benefitting with respect to experiments.
·        The quality of content and concentration will not be that effective
The closure of schools, colleges and universities not only interrupts the teaching for students around the world; the closure also coincides with a key assessment period and many exams have been postponed or cancelled.
·       so,many institutions have to show progress to their families, this lead to prediction of grades and they took internal assessments as less importance.
·       The assessment cancellation and predicted grades will impact long term consequences on students.
·       The graduates from various universities had severely affected by the COVID19 pandemic. As,they have faced a lot of  teaching interruptions in final part of their study(major projects and internship programmes).
·       Most of the working graduates got unemployed. and many will have to accept lowerpaid jobs due to poor market conditions.which may have major impact on thier future.
·       Many evidences suggest that participating in test increase their performance in reading test two year later 9% by standard deviation. yet due to cancellation of assessements students face lot of consequences in near future.
Nonethless of a pandemic many educational organisations are striving hard to expose students to academics by organising various programmes virtually.assembling them to interact with the professionals through webinars, virtual competitions, live sessions etc..so that the students get motivation and never feel low.
Nutrition plays a critical role in cognitive development and academic performance for children. Many children worldwide rely on free or discounted meals at schools. When schools close, nutrition is especially compromised for children in schools where food is provided.
·       ANTIHUNGER initiatives like school lunch programmes affected nearly many families.
·       As nearly 30 million children rely on schools to provide free or low-cost meals including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and even dinner.
Many children due to this pandemic are facing child labour, child sexual abuse, child marriage and violence.
Millions of vulnerable children like disabled, physically  and mentally challenged are losing out on their development and learning opportunities and their right to survive.
Many children experienced Inaccessibility to mitigation strategies which are used to increase academic stand up.such as literacy rich summer based activities,NCC, varioussports and games.this eventually lead students to read everyday.

With all the above noted points it is clearly observed that education matters but coming to life and death it is better to chooose life over death so its better to not force students to learn compulsary instead arrange a rotational studies by giving them leisure time to play in day long study (i.ethree days class and one day leave)
